Light of Day, by Commercial Herschel
Scene 1 where we get to see a general understanding about who the main Character Eron is.
FADE IN:
BW:
Eron, eyes closed, is waking up on his futon on the floor of his apartment. He stirs and has a typical 21-year-old waking-up experience. He adjusts his pajamas. He is Caucasian-looking, and he has naturally light hair with dyed black streaks on one side. He's wearing pajama bottoms and no top. He’s athletic.
He opens his eyes, and the small studio apartment is filled with his artwork and a lot of propaganda regarding human rights as they were at the time, the mid-nineties, and historical data from the eighties. It does not reveal anything that would suggest a particular political position. There is a manila envelope with clippings spilling out about Salvadorean nuns being raped and killed by US allies in El Salvador. On another surface, there is an article about Fidel Castro executing peasants trying to flee Cuba while letting doctors who attempt the same thing stay alive.
In the mirror, in the background on the wall behind him, are puppets of Uncle Sam and Vladimir Lenin being controlled by the puppet arm of a businessman sitting atop a bank.
