Second 7 Days are completed. I have gone back to writing in the AM. The evening experiment is over. Morning writing is far better. There are a lot of good recommendations in my descriptions. I truly appreciate the good writers I read, and if I can’t afford to pay them, at least I can promote them. Please go through these posts below and see those recommendations. At the end of this list I descsribe my target audience.

DAY 8 OF FLASH AUGUST FICTION. This is one of those days when I don't have the slightest idea. Let's see what happens when I think of 'Iced Coffee'. OK. That's the thing. Here is my week-in-review blog post from the last 7 days of stories written on the spot
Horace's Desk Chair
DAY NINE of FLASH AUGUST FICTION. I keep thinking about the FFF episode I did called The Resident. That one was weird. It had a surprising ending that also made sense. The word that stays prominent in my mind is furniture. So, that's the thing. Let's see what happens with
A Chronicle of The Last Gas Station
DAY 10 of FLASH AUGUST FICTION. Essentially, a third of the way. I have some weird ideas today. It's not a single-word prompt, a dream, or some recurring notion. Some years ago, I wrote a book. I thought it was a novel. It was not. It was actually a serial. What I didn't understand is that novels have to be written in a single voice. It was not. I wrote…

DAY 11 of FLASH AUGUST FICTION: 30-in-30 days: I’m in quite a blank moment as I sit down to write this evening. I generally either write something somewhat absurd or fairly innocuous when this happens. I’m going to be having a light dinner during this. Maybe it will be about food. I’ve done that before. That might be the thing. Sure, why not?
A Pandemic Rivalry: Part 4
DAY 12 OF FLASH AUGUST FICTION: Today we look at the insiders behind the Pandemic Rivalry. Who are the players inside the Government enabling these efforts? The links for the first three parts are below, but this is a great time to recommend two of my favorite writers regarding the thing that is happening that still too few people are willing to admit.
Purge the Gargoyles
DAY 13 OF FLASH AUGUST FICTION. Not a lot to say about this one. A skill I have is building. I was a bricklayer and a stone mason, and I know fire tech. What that means is that I can build fireplaces, masonry heaters, flue systems, and chimneys. I think a lot about how the buildings around us affect us. I hate gargoyles. I love angels. I’m Commercial He…
Accidental Treasure
DAY 14 OF FLASH AUGUST FICTION. 30-in-30. I’m plagued with a drippy faucet these days. You know how annoying that is. Let’s see what happens with that drippy faucet in my story today. I think I’m going to start writing my stories first thing in the AM like I did for
Obvious Solutions
DAY 15 OF FLASH AUGUST FICTION. Morning writing is as already better than evening. That was a fun experiment but this is more fun, it’s better, it’s way better. So here’s what happened today. I had this idea first thing this morning for some food that would sell well on a food truck. Then one thing led to another and this was an end result for a story. …
Review: Week 1 of Flash August Fiction
It’s good for my head to write stories every day. I don’t know if you know it, but I am writing a story every single day this month, producing it, and podcasting it. It’s fun to see what the mond comes up with on short notice.
Ta daaa! There it is. Week 2. Man, I wish I did the kind of thing that people were willing to pay for. I’d be loaded. I work a lot and I work hard! The people I want to entertain are the independent Journalists and truth tellers. I want to be here for them to relax and have something interesting to think about. I want to be like a virtual grampa for them. I have corny jokes and all that. I don’t even care what their politics are. This is a weird time, it might get pretty rough, and powerful people are out of control. Sometimes a story and a meditation can help. I hope you might get a paid subscription, or buy me a coffee, or donate some bitcoin. I wish you the best. I’m Herschel Sterling, and I’m here to help. I’m Herschel Sterling, and I’m here to help.
